We can make almost anything! This is of course determined by the availability of the supplies needed, but in 6 years of designing we've never discovered a chainmaille project we couldn't complete. With access to several manufacturers, we have a wide range of supplies available -- rings in ten different metals, scales, beads, charms, and even latex-free stretchable rings to create claspless or fitted designs.
Any items using jewelry findings such as clasps or ear wires will use surgical steel findings unless specifically requested, and any findings made of another material will incur an extra materials cost. Weaves and patterns can be customized and combined to suit the commission; with the variety of materials available, this creates the potential for a piece that will never be duplicated.
Unless otherwise written, the request must be paid in full before materials are ordered and work begins. Payment plans can be arranged via Paypal invoices if necessary; each invoice must be paid within 10 days of receipt. If a portion of the total cost is paid with a gift card or certificate, the remaining cost must be paid before work begins. Commissions are nonrefundable.
If you are ordering during our Holiday commission window (Nov 1-Dec 1 annually), keep in mind we will only accept the number of orders we can complete for holiday delivery. To claim a "spot" during this time, at least 50% of the total cost must be paid unless otherwise discussed in writing. ND has the right to refuse a commission at any time during this window if it cannot be completed in time to ship by Dec 10 or be picked up by Dec 15.
Once the design and colors have been agreed upon and full payment has been received, no changes will be made without a Change Fee (minimum $5 plus the cost of materials). We will provide progress photos via email throughout the design process so that any possible changes can be made as soon as possible. If an email containing progress photos is not replied to within 3 days, we may assume the design is acceptable thus far and may continue work. A final photo will be sent when the item is complete.
A shipping address must be provided for every order regardless of pickup agreement to help prevent abandonment. It is the buyer's responsibility to update us with any change of address prior to shipping. Items will ship USPS Priority Mail, which includes insurance and tracking. The tracking number will be provided via email and/or Paypal. If an item is returned undeliverable, it will be the buyer's responsibility to pay for reshipment; if after 2 weeks the reshipment cost is not paid, the item will be considered abandoned. Abandoned items may be eligible for a partial refund and made available for sale to other customers.
